Description

~Gatesgarthdale & Buttermere~ The peak in the foreground left is Fleetwith Pike (which houses the Honister Slate Mine), in the background are (left to right) Red Pike, Pillar, High Crag, High Stile & Scoat fell. The edge of Great Gable is just visible on the left edge of the photo EOS 20D 17-40L @17mm, 1/80s, F9, ISO 100. Hope you like & I hope you have a go at my little competition (see previous post). Oh my god this is gorgeous! What a magnificent vista.I particularly find the foreground exceptional,giving a wonderful 3-D quality.The foreground is so super sharp it grabs your eye which then goes up and out.Brilliant work.Absolutely brilliant.It doesn't get better than this.-Marlene
