I've just started the COmputer Animation program at Sheridan, September 2001. this was my first modelling excersise with Maya. I' have some great stuff on the horizon, I hope to upload them and get your feedback. Thank you

I like the lighting in this picture. It gives it a more realistic look. I've seen this done in other programs, but never in max. Can you tell me how it's done?

The lighting is a Global Illumination Technique... Imagine creating a polygon sphere and then placing an omni or spoligh source at every vertex on that sphere pointing in towards the centere... then just playaround with the shadow and light intesity variables... hope it helps

This is a max gallery but a good work is always a good work. the shadow it's not bad get more strong to the light and the shadow.
