Description

Well this took me all day..literaly... I stop for a bit to run to the store and that was it...lol... I have been wanting to take the plunge to try my hand at painting cloth and hair for a while, though was very intimidated as I see the wonderful work come through here from people like antje and bez, two people's work I admire much! In fact, I used antje hair tutorial as a guide for painting the hair and then I used a tutorial I found in the forum for the cloth painting, http://www.earthcurves.com/tutorials/shirt_tute_1.htm I am hoping to get feed back as to what I did right and what I did wrong to better improve. Thank you for taking the time to look and for your comments!!

It's very pretty, and very well done for your first hand painting! Way to go!

I have to agree with angel. A great start and patience is the most important thing when painting. As I dont have that, I gave up (for the time being) on painting hair and stuff. I find your hair looks a bit "thick", but please I am far away from being good at it myself. So dont give up, keep painting.

More work is needed on her wings; her wings need more shadows to show more depth. And as it has been said before, patience is much needed! I cant believe you did this awesome art in a day! Pat yourself in the back, you did a GREAT job!

I think you've done really well, and so much better than my first attempt at hair and cloth painting :o)It takes a bit of time, but patience and practise are your best friends :)
