Description
"Ocarinas are simple musical instruments made of clay that were highly developed among Pre-Columbian cultures in many parts of Latin America. They were made of numerous shapes and forms, many of which represented various deities, birds and animals, and were used as musical instruments for various Indian ceremonial rituals. The ocarinas continue to be made and used in many Latin American countries and although its range is limited, a variety of musical sounds can be played." - Eleanor Menzie Imports Santa Paula, Ca.

I did a bit of Google-based research and learned that Ocarinas are not specific to Latin America. Apparantly this one came from there and it's handmade.

Thanks everyone for looking and nice comments. I appreciate it. Cynlee, it is like a little Piccolo. It is played by blowing air through the top and finger action over the four holes. :-)
