Description

This is the Sheiden. An unusual plane to say the least with a pusher prop canard configuration it is unique among the planes of its day. (closest thing to it might be the XP-51 bullet or the Vultee Swoose goose)There were only two made and they were solid color so this is conjecture here I used a paint scheme from a KI-61 and used it here. Modeled in Wings rendered in Bryce. The volumetric clouds wre taxing on the old processor don't know how long it took because I went out for lunch and took a walk. Anyways enjoy

Nice one Dann-0. The 'Magnificent Lightning' is a great example of just how weird aircraft shapes can get. Another one is the Curtiss XP 55 Ascender - check out http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/research/p55-2.jpg

What a crazy plane! And the clouds are thick and puffy... Good work, the texturing is very nice.

Good model, I love the concepts of the early pusher propped planes, this is a well executed picture.

nice tribute to an unusual aircraft; would be great to see you do the German Dornier pushprop fighter design from WWII too
