I wish you an awesome day my friend, happy birthday to you !! :o) And may there be a lot of photo-opportunities on your way !! ;o) - Northern dune tiger beetle (Cicindela hybrida) This long-legged, fast running, conspicuous, striped beetle is found in sandy areas. This beetle loves hot sunshine, the hotter the better, in dull or cold weather it hides away. They are only able to hunt when the surface temperature of the ground reaches 28

Hmm, you must probably know his very similar cousin, dressed in red and white. In french we call him "gendarme" that you can translate by "policeman". I just wonder what happens if they catch your "fast runner". Will they give him a fine?
