Description

I sat in church shortly after the attacks in New York and Washington. The front of the church normally has banners hanging with Psalms or passages from the Bible written on them. Since the attacks, American Flags have been hanging there instead. As I looked up, the setting sun shone through the stain glass windows, through the nylon flag, turning part of the flag transparent. This image touched me. The windows are from my church, Holy Redeemer Catholic in Burton, MI. The two outer ones depict God's creation of earth. Picture done completely in Poser.

This is beautiful, with a powerful message. Thanks so much for sharing:) These times are so hard for us, but without God, they would be impossible.

The light is flowing through the stained glass windows of a church in Burton and filtering through the flag and yet the shadow of the statue is casting it's shadow towards the window. I'm in Shelby, MI
