Description

This is an American White Pelican. They are a freshwater Pelican that migrates from Mexico to Alberta Canada. The "layover" in Northern Nevada is for rest and food. They don't usually hang around our area for more than a couple of days. They are very skiddish and difficult to get close to. Thank you for visiting and have a great evening!

Interesting what some animals do for survival. I was amazed to see seagulls in Utah after I migrated from SoCal. Turns out they fly up to the Great Salt lake. Nice shot!
