Description

Hi again!-I'm afraid there's nothing I'm going to do now, that's going to ever meet (or surpass) the surprisingly warm and appreciative reception my little magnolia picture received. I was genuinely afraid to upload that pic and thought I'd be chastised for lack of clarity. But I went for it anyway, because I had an objective ,and, because (I guess what's ultimately most important),I liked it... That should be a lesson to me. To not be afraid to make a mistake, but be always honest in my art....So here's another pic,that I was also afraid to show.-Marlene (P.S.-You gave me some of the most heartfelt comments ever.You're all so eloquent!!!!Gotta love this place!)

2nd try...due to some typos...me had to redo this comment.....sigh...made me drop from the number one spot..sigh......Yep, gotta love it!!!! And oooh oooh oooh, this is sooooo cool!!! That old wood texture, that twig growing up from beneath that "hole", this sure is a beauty some people in here will just LOVE. Nice subtle frame that goes perfect with it. And i think you cropped it perfectly!!!! AMAZING Marlene!!!! Hope you get to have a wonderful upcoming weekend #:O)

I can see why you like this... all the wonderful forms and textures. Funny how decay can be so alluring. Especially drawn to whatever that is in the center... adds a nice touch.

Marlene...what are you doing to me, girl? i have this thing about doors...especially forbidden ones!!!!!!!! and peeling paint...well...you know how much i love old stuff!@!!! i'm dying to try to push that open and see what's inside!!!!! the suspense is KILLING me!!!!!! love that rusty doorknob too!!!! fantastic compo and love the tones!!!!! listen to your gut!!!!!! this one rocks girl!!!! :)

As a texturee freak I just love the old peeling tree patterns here, almost abstract shapes, and my inner child wants to go go in there, looking for some hidden treasure. Wonderful shot!
