Hi, I'm Dave :^)
I've learned that Art is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration! I started CGA as a hobby early 2004. This site is huge, so if you have seen any of my material, then thank you for taking the time.
BIO:I'm a widowed Electronics and Software design Engineer living in Southern California, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
My late wife Robin.. passed in 2003 after 31 wonderfully married years, the last 7 of which Robin was in poor health. I miss my Babe so much...
I'm working with Poser5, Bryce5.5, Wings3D, PSP-10 and CorelPaint8.My mother (Elnor) is also on this site as Silkylady. If you get a chance, please drop by her gallery and see her work.
Finally, remember these words of wisdom:
1) Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff.2) If your only tool is a hammer then all your problems will look like nails.3) It's amazing what can be accomplished when one doesn't know what one can't do.4) Very few know how much one must know in order to know how little one really knows.5) Give a man fire and you heat him for awhile. Set a man on fire and he is heated for life.6) Complexity is a set of things that we figured how to do right, one built on top of the other, until failure is achieved.7) Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.8) Marriage is a place where you can be wrong in ways you never thought possible.9) If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him.. is he still wrong?10) If at first you don't succeed, then cover up all previous attempts that failed.
Please enjoy your visit! Dave :^)(AKA: 'davidoblad','DLO')

Dave I had my suspicions and doubts about your mental state ever since we crossed paths here at "Rendo" But based on what I see here now all suspicion and doubt is removed from my mind. You are totally "CRAZY" and more than ready for the funny farm. Now don't get all up set it's a complement. he-he-he-he. I was having a brew when this loaded (I can do this on week day afternoons the perks of retirement) now thanks to you half the contents of the bottle are flooding my desk keyboard mouse and what ever other stuff I have on the desk. I just started laughing and threw my arms in front of me fore got the bottle was there and you know the result . There goes the buzz. Just simply HILARIOUS I'm still laughing you crazy coot. FUNTASTIC "V" George

Dear Dave, It's always so nice to have a set of preconceived notions about a person and then have them totally confirmed! No question about it - several large gentlemen in long white coats will be by very shortly to fit you in your new "tuxedo!" Of course, while that would tend to disqualify you from most other endeavors, it makes you a perfect resident of Meredith Land. You're going to love Tuesdays - where everyone sits all day counting their navels! ;-) I like the Gene Wilder expression of our friend above and his truly hair raising experience! And the Van De Graff generators bring back a "certain" memory from my formative years. We had gone on a "field trip" to high school to see the "big kids" science fair exhibits! Really neat! One of which was a Van De Graff generator. It was a really cool, crisp day just perfect for LOTS of static electricity. And we were all cooing and giggling as each of us got to see the others hair standing up! What fun! So little blond Meredith takes her turn and wow did I have a fantastic blond halo - certainly the best yet! (I was always an overachiever) And everyone has really giggling and laughing away even more! And then - I realized that not only was my hair standing straight out - but so was my little pleated skirt! YIKES! (Yes, I was a clothes horse even as a brat!) So, now you know one more thing from my seriously warped childhood. Very fun image even if it is associated with a rather "interesting" memory! Excellent work! Love, Meredith PS - my hairdresser doesn't have a green complexion be he does wear furry things like that a lot!

My last haircut was a shocker too! and when I looked into the mirror, my heart droped so that was an organ donation, I guess? One sideburn was 3/8 shorter then the other, so I had to walk with my head at a 30 degree angle to make them even!! vote

This is just too funny! I could swear I left a comment on this image when you posted it! Maybe Frankenstein got ahold of it! lol! This is such a detailed image, you have all kinds of things going on here! Your humor is just too much! The miror behind them is very clever and all the props that make up the scene are incredible! Wonderful dedication to Tony and excellent work on this image!!
