Description

This really isn't called the 'Road Turtle'. :) I gave it that name here just because we found this on the road, and I nearly ran him over. With Daughter around, she begs me to stop so we can rescue every turtle we see. Of course, she doesn't have to beg me too hard; I hate to see these guys get flattened, too. ;) Thank you for taking the time to view -- comments welcome and, critics too, I suppose. lol Once again, this image was a 'mess'. There was grass coming up over his face and some of his shell .. had i posted the entire photo, too, it would have appeard 'lost' in the image. To eliminate much of that, I thought I'd focus more on his pretty face and just enough of his shell. Have a beautiful day ....

the shell is marvelous in close view..I like the crop and clear view of the turtle.

Well done with rescue and cropping. For my taste light reflecting from shell is too bright, it distracts view a bit from its beautiful head.

Very nice shot, I love the colours. I feel a bit confused about where you live, It seems like we share some mutual wildlife, But in sweden we dont have wildlife turtles.

I am glad you have respect for life and not running over these turttles. I am sure lots of people would do otherwise. BTW: this is a lovely portrait of this little guy. Very crisp and colourful.
