Man's attempt to control the landscape by carving into her, leaving scares that always seem to heal during winters snow are reopenned in spring.

Beim Anblick dieses Bildes und den Kommentaren dazu wird mir wieder bewusst, wie sch wir es hier eigentlich haben, allerdings ist es so zur Gewohnheit geworden, dass man es gar nicht mehr so richtig wahrnimmt bzw. zu schzen weiss.

You say mountains. Kimarie says only hills. Here in Lincolnshire they would be called the Himalayas :) Nice shot!!!
