Description

Thanks so much for stopping by and if you care to leave any comments, they are always more than appreciated! I am so pleased with the outcome of this image - my first real try at using Environment Mapping, with Image Based Lighting. For the image, I chose one from Image After, a beautiful Dutch Sky. It was so nice not to have to fiddle around with the lighting, simply render and Whalla!! Daz3d Laura

Ohh Irene, this is such a fabulous and charming portrait! Your IBL setup is awesome here! I've had mixed results with IBL; seems the more beer I drink, the better the lighting gets! lol! Fantastic character, she's adorable! Nice setting and this image is very personable and beautiful! Thanks for your sentiments, also, I really I appreciate them! Excelent work!

Dear Irene, I've been hearing a lot about the Image Based Lighting but haven't tried it yet. My Poser 6 is still in the box - to many other cans of worms to deal with first! ;-) It sure did turn out well for you. A very pretty scene and a very pretty girl. Love her outfit!! Very cute pose and expression! Truly Excellent Work!! Love, Meredith

very nice, one thing I hvae found with IBL is sometimes the eyes can be a bit dark relavite to the rest of the image since with the IBL there is not much we can do to point light that way. Sometimes I make a new layer in post and up the brightness and contrast then erase everything but the eyes and blend it a bit. Or put two tiny very weak point lights right in front of the eyes and adjust the ambiant - from sunlight (or whatever it says) slider a very small bit to the right so that the point lights have some effect but the GI nature of the overall scene is not affected. This is very beautiful and I can't wait to see more GI lighting.
