Description

A forum thread came up recently about the use of overlays. Though fantastic results come from the skilled hand, I don't fall into that category. Rather I rely on Terragen's surface textures alone to obtain unique patterns. By tweaking almost every setting, sometimes accidents happen - like this. Then I save the layers. I used a portion of this as an example in the forum. Thanks for looking in!

Lovely surface and excellent water - I've a habit of using low fractal noise and little bump - must try to break that, judging by this!

You are right, Terragen surface map is very powerful and allow us a lot of effects, realistic or not. And TGD will be much more powerful... Very good work on layers in foreground. Slope surfaces could be - imho - still improved. Beautiful render anyway !

Agree with you, you know that I don't use overlays, because it is like apply a photo, no much fun on it. Super lichen surfaces!

Your surface work is among the tops in Terragen. We look forward to more of these in varying combinations in the future. Excellent picture Rich ...this one is a real beauty!
