Now that's one pose, eh?... LOL... A lil fun shot today :o) Yep, some of you guessed right on the detail shot I've posted yesterday... the feather dress of a flamingo. Took a lil series of the flamingos I came across in our public garden that day. This one is for Andreas ~aka~ abmlober He had asked me several times to come up again with those colours. Yesterday his comment on the detail was: "*sigh* Really beautiful. The colours remind me of that postwork on your Schwetzingen series which I admire so much." Yes, Andreas, thought of you when doing the postwork on those flamingo shots. Hope you like these colours, too. *hugz* Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy! Natures colour palette are so magnificent. We can only hope to capture each subtle difference. I can see now the waterfall and the turbulance in motion I described yesterday. I must also comment on the quality of colour and light I have sen in your recent postings. There is a softness to the transition of one colour to another though your photographs are sharp. But it is this transition and softness I find very appealing when viewing your work. Have a great weekend. ;~)

Dear Monika, I did guess right! It did look like flamingo plummage. I've always found it amazing how their colors change out as their diet varies. There are one of my most anticipated stops at the zoo. Something always seesm so comical about them - and yet they have such an "above it all" attitude while standing around on a single leg!
