Description

I had Owen (see my gallery for pictures) at the vet's office one day and saw a notice on the bulletin board that said there was a blind and deaf Chihuahua at the local pound. I knew Owen needed a friend and so I called them. Well, "Hooch" had found a home. I never forgot him. 4 weeks later, I was at a birthday party and there was a guy there talking about a dog that the pound had asked him to please take but he couldn't do anything with the dog. He said "It's blind and..." and I promptly finished the sentence. I ran over to him and asked him if it was named Hooch and he said yes. I explained that I had called the pound about Hooch and wanted to meet the little guy. This man says "if you want him, he's yours". Now, he's been renamed Chance, as in Second Chance. I've made tremendous progress with this animal. When he came to me he wouldn't eat and couldn't walk very far as his muscles in his back legs were weak. I had dental work done on him and he eats like a horse now. I've been exercising him and he can now run. He will be forever blind and deaf but he's the sweetest little dog you could ever meet. The picture is of him on the sofa with his blankie. I took this yesterday. Thanks for reading and checking out his picture.
