Dear Jennifer, there are lots of "might have been's" but they are all part of the PAST. Learn from it, but otherwise ignore it and make NOW as happy as possible. If you string together enough happy NOWS - you lead a happy life. Say goodbye to the past as move on. This is a hard image for all of to look at as we have all been there.
