Well, I love the image so much I pulled it up in Photoshop. There is a difference between regular B&W photography and that of 'Fine Art' B&W photography. This images fall it the catagory of 'Fine Art'. Having said this, there are other guidle lines, and they are guidelines interpreted with artistic and personel feelings. I see that you exposed for the swing seat, in order to maintain the details. Yet I feel you sacrificed the details in the grass and the beautiful shadow. By making adjustment in curves you can ballance but will lose a bit of the seat and gain on the shadow and grass. The settings I have for cruves in Photoshop are lower curve at 100/60 and the upper curve at 205/205. Try it and let me know what you think. This pictures not only has charm but isd work exploring further. Have a great Sunday.

The emptiness of the swing and the complexity of the links really work well together. I was wondering about the grass myself, it almost looks like infrared film or a frost covered field. Excellent work, the composition is outstanding.

Wonderful subject in this photo.I like the soft shadows on the cement squares. This pic speaks to the child in me.
