The Cliffs in the BG need to look like they are in the BG. They are waaay too pixally against the sky...it would look alot better anti-aliased or even blurred a bit for good measure. It would give it more depth, whereas everything right now is so "in your face" I love the water tho...wonderfully fantastic.

Okay, then, try it with a little DOF...does this work better? I can change it back...

When placing moon with photoshop, You should take in account, where actually sun is... by terrain I can tell, its somewhere left from camera, while moon is lighten from right... and in angle, when sun is almost under horizont, so must be pretty dark :) Except of that, nice beach scene!

Armands, you're absolutely right; I placed the moon with nothing more than aesthetics in mind. See if it's better rotated around. The DOF was just a little too extreme; I'm gonna mess around with it tomorrow and see if I can get something a little more subtle. Until then, enjoy the image complete with all its aliasing and imperfections. I'm learning...

Yes ...its good fun playing around with MJW and Photoshop...lots of possibilities with both apps and you can use them combined in so many ways. Have fun!!! BTW I like tall pics ...hehe! So this one is great with me!

To soften the aliasing you can select just the skyline-edge by commanding 'Select All' in the mountain-layer, switching to the Move tool (press 'V') then use the arrow-keys on your keyboard by pressing the 'up' key once and then the 'down' key once. This will force the selection to 'wrap' around the pixel-filled area. Then, 'Invert' the selection, add a small 'Border'(2 pixels), a slight 'Feather' (2 pixels), then a small 'Gaussian Blur' (1 pixel). Experiment with those values...
