'Missing Pieces of Broken Emptiness ~ No. 4' Duo-tone ~ April 24, 2005 Comments: Neglected, its beauty fades and character takes hold of the presence. ~ 'Family Secrets', the journey continues ~ Thank you very much for the comments on Coming & Going Out, the one that started this little series of a diversion. Technical Information: CAMERA: Sony DSC-V1, Aperature priority setting to f-8, ISO100, EV -.07, Tripod LIGHT: Natural PHOTOSHOP NOTES: Adjustment in Auto Contrast, Auto Levels, Sharpening using unsharp and in mode labcolour, conversion to B&W in Channel Mixer/RGB mode. Duo-tone settings have curve alterations and the secondary colour is R151/G132/B115. Final adjustment in brightness/contrast. Thank you for your visit Vielen dank f

whoo-hoo!!!! Spinning in my chair over this one! told ya i loved windows!!! especially ones with broken glass!!! oh man, what a PERFECT composition!!!!! you've zinged right on that glass and on the window pane to show those incredible details and i am sooooo excited by this one! you taken something old and neglected (another one of my fav. subjects!) and turned it into pure beauty and an incredible work of art! sigh into favs!!!!

Another great image and somewhat scarey considering what you said about vandals in the last one. What I like about this little tableu is the story it tells can be interperated differently by everyone, yet the overall sense of "damage" remains constant. Wonderful details and tones. This one has a sort of "shut in" from the outside world feel! It conveys another act of desperation to me! It seems like someone was clawin at the window to GET OUT! That one piece of broken GLASS is symbolic... cutting into the WRIST of that window HAND-LE! For some reason I'm also reminded of those public service announcements when I was a kid about eating lead based PAINT CHIPS...(go figure?!?!)
