WOW Meredith...I can't believe you found those lovely pink shoes to match your car and your BIRTHDAY! . What can I say? 26th is my birthday too and I just got a bouquet with pink flowers. I'm over here by the Mediterranean. Thought about driving with that car in Europe? And, by the way, I will vote for you in the election. Anyone with your taste will go far. You certainly know a lot about cars. All I know is men just open the doors for me.

Somewhere in techland the is an algorithm that equalizes the reality in levels of an image like in illustation. The Corvette doesn't jump out from the background the way she jumps out from it. Even getting the pewter out of the bumpers and windshield frame by using raytrace reflection and a light with raytraced shadows while keeping the cool pearlescent pink would not integrate the edges. Actually no photo does it as I have been noticing since 1982. The crisp templating of layers I think now comes from infrared as that is what I was studying before I noticed it so sharply. Thus the effect depends on temperature, water vapor etc. and is noticeable to someone from California who grew up in Michigan and ended his career in Florida. Mr. Palm Beach had a Corvette like that at UTC/GPD-PWA and the pipes were called "Outsiders". I sure knew that term as a perjorative for vendor vanes.

That's a really cherry looking old Vette! I remember them well! Digital looks really pleased with herslef, too!! Great shot of the Bixby Bridhe in the background! A blond, a Vette, and Highway 1 is a guy's dreams come true!!
