Description

My today's b'day gift will probably never be seen by the b'day boy as he has left Rendo a while ago but I'm still in contact with him by email or phone now and then. Some of the "older" members will surely remember him: Roberto ~aka~ polyphilo Happy birthday, my friend! All the best to you! mmmmuuuuuuaaaaaahhhhh Have chosen this shot of the Basilica di Santa Giustina (seen from Prato della Valle) cause this was the place we met in August 2003. Thanks to chioru... her posting last week, a shot from Padova, inspired me to look in my archives. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy! Thank you for your nice comments and rankings on my yesterday's upload A passion for... I highly appreciate your words! Beautiful photograph Monika, lovely shapes and forms and superb composition was wondering if polyphilo was Greek as I think it means 'many friends' could even be 'much love' :)

Wonderful view and shot. First I saw it I thought of a chess game with all those statues. I especially love the soft light and sepia tones.

When this image first came up and was still scrolling onto the screen, I thought of giant chess board figures. Even now, I would love to image that this is what these wonderful statues are and at any moment one of the ancient roman gods hand would appear and move the figure . . . It is a beautiful place to meet as one might even imagine that the two depicted are you Monika and Roberto.
