Haven't posted in a while. This guy's not really finished yet, but I thought I'd post him and see what people thought of him so far.

Thanks for all the great comments! The crits (in a Renderosity gallery?!?) are useful and welcome. I've still got work to do, but it's good to see that people think he's worth the trouble.

Great piece of work! The modeling is superb and I would love to know more about how you did that terrific skin! Some (personal) suggestions for improvement would be to work some more on the saliva, it looks too opaque. His teeth and gums would look fantastic with more saliva/moisture (I would probably duplicate the geometry, make it slightly larger and give it a transparant material with high specularity). The thumbring isn't sitting right with me either (but I wouldn't mind seeing rings on some of his other fingers). His lips could be a bit more pink/red, and his upper lip has a pretty sharp ridge just below his nose. The material on the chains look a bit too CG generated. His eyes could use a bit more expression and I think it would be enough to just break the symmetry of his eyebrows to accomplish this (one slightly more raised, for example. All minor details so feel free to skip them as this is a truly amazing character!
