This flower has always given me an etymological giggle. In English the name dandelion is derived from the French dent-de-lion meaning lions tooth. In French, it is called pissenlit which literally means wet-the-bed! -/-/- Cette fleur ma toujours beaucoup amusdu point de vue de lymologie comparative : en anglais cette fleur sappelle dandelion divde dents-de-lion ; en franis pisse-en-lit.

A weed of a flower and I remember as a child it was added to our salad as it is high in nutrients. Yet when found in a lawn, it is considered a pest. Such a shame that a weed cannot be a rose.

Charles, t'es pas le seul que amuse. La premie fois que j'ai vu "salade de dents de lions" dans un resto Suisse, j'ai commencavoir des monts d'Adraline (ils mangent de tout en Suisse, me du kangourou!). Je me suis dendu quand mes clues m'ont expliqu.. A part , la photo est magnifique, of course!!!

Elle n'ont pas de vrai dents de lion mais elles ont de bonnes racines:) par contre les feuilles sont dentels lol. Tout simplement tr belle cette fleur dont tu as su la mettre en valeur comme tu le fait toujours;).Bon week-end chantal;)
