Description

Who says we don't have castles in America? Glen Eyrie castle was built in 1904 by the founder of Colorado Springs, General William Jackson Palmer. This 67-room Tudor-style castle sits just to the north of the Garden of the Gods on an 800-acre estate along the foothills amidst tall pine trees, beautifully landscaped lawns and stunning rock formations. @CDBrugg.. Ahhh but America still hangs onto her roots, be it architecture, literary, or otherwise. This is a great shot. Awesome job!

Tudop? Looks like a Fordor model at least! Maybe a bit more contrast to bring the colors out.

Wow, you got me there. I didn't know we had any castles in America. Detroit, my old home, has many large buildings, but don't think any castles. Thanks for the lesson. Aloha and thanks for your many comments on my postings.

Wow. So you do have castles in America :D. Not as beautiful as European medieval ones, but still very impressive. Nice job on this capture, I like the way this view is framed with trees.
