Excellent image but if your open to sugestions.... maybe the light from the nebula should have a stronger orange/red/yellow cast to it. Other than that I love it :o)

Sweet indeed! I love your spaceship design. My (hopefully) helpful comments for improving this image: Running lights - I think it would help add a sense of size - and I'd also try a pov that includes the whole vessel: a lot of photographers consider it a crime to cut off bits of the subject. Having said that your pov here does suggest more drama and movement so maybe that's deliberate?

Ok, kewl!, thanks for your suggestions. I'll add another nebula light (the one there is maxed out, lol). I'm usually opposed to running lights on military vessels... but I do understand the sizing. I would do this to a commercial vessel... but I will try running lights on the next one. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions and thanks for checking out my render.

very compelling image; I agree that a few low key running lights would add even more to the image. I also like the log. Having the forward ship protrude out of the scene adds drama and intimacy to the scene

I like the ballance of the post. Running lights, don't need no stinking running lights in space! Maybe good radar, but running lights should only be used when one portrays a close visual aproach or docking procedure...ya-ya...picky,picky...

that actually was a nurbs sphere... I switched to a high-density poly on another scene (not on this site) that looks very rounded. and changed a few things. Thanks for the input Marcel

ah OK understand :) it's sometimes better not to convert the NURBS to Polyhedron so you can scale the planet infinite without angular edges. btw. cool ship :)
