Description

There are a lot of the new principal Vue 5 Infinite features in this image: procedural terrains, Global Illumination, ecosystems. Tools used: Vue5Inf, Poser, Painter IX (for alpha mask). How I have worked: I have created one base-proc.terrain (Simple fractal/Distribuited Patterns/Round sample), then have marked out the river on flat place among the rocks. At this point, using Painter IX, I have drawn one alpha mask for every ecosystem: plants, green, horses and riverside-rocks. In this way it's possible make ecosistems very percise. At the end I have put one alpha plane in frontside sunlight to simulate the slight clouds-shadows. Great importance and care I have reserved for ground texturing before the house. Painter IX has been very precious at the purpose, furnishing me of unpublished and powerful tools for this specific use. I don't know how to do images like yours but this is fantastic. You must be able to reproduce your dreams which is sort of mindboggling. Beautiful work.

Wonderful. Thank you for your notes - they're a real help to beginners like me. However did you do the grass by the bend in the river? Is it a standard ecosystem?
