Description

Thought I would finish off before the holiday weekend with a picture of the same sledge hammer heads as in Hot Heads!, but taken a few minutes later as they are getting cooler, the changes of colour and formation of the scale gave some interesting effects - you can also see on the top of the nearest one how the face is much cooler than the main body of the head.
Lighting for this was once again available light, although it was getting a bit dim! Hopefully it conveys the mood and feel of the process to you. Have a good weekend, cheeers!

think the light being limited has real enhanced the beauty of the colours in this intense heat awesome glows of richness, natural display of natures natural abstracts with mand help of fire... ((( l know nothing of chemistry or science, or engineering )).. totally amazing series superb work :)...enjoy the bank holiday..relax and happy snapping :)

Wow, I really love these shots, and this closer view as they cool is off the charts. I'm not sure why I am so enthralled...maybe it is the harnessing of all that raw power. Neat variations in the hammerhead as it cools! V
