IMHO, keep the terrain, the atmo, water, but change the POV. I think it's boring. For example don't cut the summit.

HEY people like Piliph aren't trying to cut anything down... just trying to help out and help other people improve. It's just too hard to look at your own artwork objectively. For myself I happen to like this a lot, but agree with Piliph, POV could maybe use a little tweaking. The lighting is perfecto mundo though, really looks very photographish. On the POV I would suggest trying to have something in the foreground (i.e. a terrain or beach or some such), which I assume is what Piliph meant when he said POV was boring. Anyway looks great well done!

great lighting on the shadows, agree about the POV with others. It's the only way to improve.

I've got to say this: Photorealism is the most difficult thing to achieve in CG work. Your texture is perfect as is currently possible. I took a look at Piliph's gallery and the stuff is fair but no texturing to equal this. I just finished a shoot on the Turnagain Arm between Anchorage, Alaska and the Kenai Penninsula. I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between your textures and my photo's. Nice work, you have an eye for this. It's possible to critique without being rude and using terms like "boring". Have a look at Piliph's gallery and you'll see that some critisism is in order there as well. I could not help but notice Piliph seems to have a well trained audience of friends who have puffed up the ego a bit to much. Your texturing is good enough you should consider a tutorial:)
