Farewell

The smiles are gone,
The skies are sad;
Now I mis
The times we had.
I never taught
I'd sit alone,
Glad you brought
The love I known.
You're not here,
Your picture's fading;
Time moves on,
But I'm still waiting.
You left today
You said goodbye,
But yesterday
I could still fly.
But now I wish,
And so I shall;
With tears that fall
To say farewell.

"But yesterday, I could still fly" I say to you that you can still fly. You are only momentarily grounded, take a moment to catch your breath but never stop looking for the one that is meant to be with you.

I came back to read my comment and noticed a different slant, that my comments projected. Pardon my self-indulgence, I strongly related to your piece from personal experiences, in my past, where a person's love was so strong, so heavy and then, all of that was gone. D
