Description
Another shot from my vacation in Jersey. This one of some turkey vultures that sunned themselves every morning in the same area of trees around Mt. Lake. Although they were plentiful in this area sneaking up on them was a chore as they frightened quite easily.
Canon 10D 1/250 at 5.6 Canon 100-400 IS at 400mm

oh forgive me for getting behind.. these birds are fantastic.. i love this crisp clear picture.. awessome birds... such detail in thier wings and that wooden branch..AWEOME CAPTURE did you get up close or is it a zoom?...WOW! cant believe they didnt fly away! we have condors here who are skiddish and almost impossible to capture they remind me of these guys but these are smaller! VOTE! ♥

Oh my, we have these in our area, but they are always hovering way up there. Great that you could get so close for this capture. The one on the right looks like he is going to stretch out and knock the other one off the branch! LOL :)
