Description

The war between the trolls and the humans had been waging on for over 70 years, many good lifes had been lost, but 3 months ago the humans began to finally push the troll army back to the wastelands. Argnok, the troll Warlord, sent a small raiding party far south around the human empire for one mission, to capture the King's Daughter and bring her back, unharmed. He knew the king would do anything to get his daughter back, and this could be just what he needs to change the tide of the war. 3 weeks after capturing the princess, Argnok recieves the bloody and bludgeoned head of his messanger, who had been sent to the king to declare his demands for the release of the princess. In a fit of uncontrollable rage, not for the death of his messenger, but for being wrong about the king, Argnok crashes into the cell where the princess is being held, and in one swift move, snaps her neck, and tosses her limp body to the ground. Toris, a veteran warrior who had been charged to watch the princess was stunned by the Warlords actions, to kill a human on the battlefield is honourable, but to kill a helpless human, female or not was atrocious in his mind, one of the old ways. Long after the Warlord had left the cell, Toris sat there, staring at the lifeless body of the princess, not moving. Deep into the night, Toris stood up, pulled out his serated dagger and walked to the cell entrance, where a guard was stationed, sleeping. With one swift move, he both cut the guards neck and broke it, dropping the blade he returned inside. Gathering no supplies, Toris carefully picked up the princesses body in his huge arms and set off south, towards the Kings palace. 3 days into his journey, still several weeks from the reaching the King of the humans, Toris notices he is being followed, rangers no doubt. Reaching the riuns of an old castle he senses the rangers closing in. Kneeling down Toris lowers his head and holds the princess' body out infront of him, and there he awaits his fate at the hand of the rangers... What happens next is up to your imagination! I hope you like this image, and the little story to go with it! thankyou for taking the time to have a gander, and thankyou!

Dear James, What ever happened to "And they lived happily ever after?" I'm very big on happy endings. Since Trolls are majic - and this is fantasy - maybe we could still salvage one. ;-) Beautiful work on the image. Great drama in both it and your writing. Beautiful textures on both the Princess and the Troll. In fact, that is the most realistic troll I've seen! Very good work there. Nice posing and superb woth on her dress! Very dark and gloomy backgeound perfect for the scene!! Excellent work!! Love, Meredith

Excellent image, even better story! I hope the weather is cold; three days dead can be stinky! Since you didn't mention..."Unbeknownst to Toris, perhaps because his belief that she had died was so strong, the Princess had only been knocked unconscious. When she first awakened to find herself being carried by a troll, she was terrified! She felt the only thing she could do was feign true death. Difficult to do, with hunger, and the need to urinate...Fortunately, she had not been eating well. "She eventually realized Toris meant her no harm, and recognizing that he was taking her home further encouraged her. But halfway there, he entered these ruins early in the day! What was happening? "When he settled down to wait, she too heard the hooves: Humans on horseback! As the first of the rangers came into view, she stirred... "Life won't be easy for a troll who betrayed his own kind, when the only place for him is with his erstwhile enemies...but the Princess did her best to make him feel honored and accepted in her kingdom. With Toris able to move among humans and tell the troll side of the war, empathy grew. Eventually, peace grew, and finally an end to war and the beginning of a new world!" Sappy, huh? :)

But among these rangers was one who practiced an art new, and unheard of in these realms...The art of necromancy, and restoration! His skill in his craft was matched only by his kind heart, and empathetic skills, as it was he who turned his fellow ranger's bow downward, for he knew this one was of pure heart, and valor as well... Next for the puzzled, and gleeful eyes of Toris as her chest jerked at once convulsing for air with rapidly healing, and generated tissues where decay and rigor once was.. Toris being true of warrior honour, and pride was spared a swift, and merciless end, for it was he who rescued the princess, and wrought hatred from his chivalrous deed by his own kingdom in securing the kings daughter's life! Next the tale ends with the usurpation of Toris's former kingdom in which he stands alone to take the throne from the cruel king himself, thereby securing peace between the Trollic, and Human kingdoms!
