I am struggleing to get the water to look natural, any tips?

Fred it looks like you used the plug in Sort of Surf Multi this not being an ocean use Sort of Surf you will get one surf band along the terrain line adjust wave hight pitch etc and water roughness until you obtain what you want ! By experimenting with this you will see all kinds of results that tweaking the values gives you. Nice terrain and sky! Keep pluging buddy !

Actually the default water setting is quite nice. Remember to adjust the scale of the waves to reflect the distance to the water. Surf settings are very hard to get to look real.

Agree with the above. It's just practice and experimentation I'm afraid! Anyway, this is good, I like the depth.
