Description

__________________________________________________________________________________________________ Time and place: summer 1983, home. Mommy! Mommy! Look what we found in the backyard! *.......* autumn....199?....dance with me...."And I will always love you"...*------- sweet oblivion ................................................. Actual time and place: March 2036, dementia ward. My body lies here, my mind elsewhere. My children come to see me daily, but I don't remember that. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ The final phase before death...sweet oblivion. Thanks for previous comments! This series came to existence because of what I saw my Granny go through...Alzheimer's that is. Now she suffers no more, thank God for that. Have a nice Sunday everyone!

Powerful series, I am touched and move with you with each post. This magification really tells the story Petri, so much light..but the cells are black and non responsive. Bet my grandma and yours are both smiling right now! (=

Excellent image.. the voids in the image make the bright areas seem all that much brighter. Lovely speckled texture adds a nice touch too.

Sorry about your grandmother Petri, same thing here and it was a slow 10 year process till her death 2 years ago. Thanks for bringing attention and illustration to this terrible disease.

I have known several people with that ailment and it is a chore to see them suffer. My brother's son has brain damage from an operation for a blood clot and he is the same way. can not remember 5 minutes ago but has memory for years ago. your fractal would also be an unique prop for a scifi movie-excellent work
