The Flying Dutchman by duncanlong
Open full image in new tabDescription
For cursing the wind and murdering a crewmate, the Dutch captain was cursed himself, fated to travel the wind and waves in a ghostly ship that was often spotted in storms for centuries. Today it is still sometimes spotted in the worse of gales.
Rendered in Vue with lots of post work in Photo Paint 8.

This is awesome, Duncan. I have to tell you though, I saw that huge moon and the pirate ship...and went right to Peter Pan. The crocodile gave up and now it's fish and birds following. (See what happens when you spend too much time with your children! lol) Fabulous work as usual! :0)

Yes, the Peter Pan story came to mind. And all the stories of the Flying Dutchman had it on the sea rather than over it, but I just couldn't resist adding the "flying" to the Dutchman :o).
