Description

- Scotland, Isle of Sky - Today a close up of the Old Man of Storr, 2358ft high. It could be a scene of the Walpurgis night or a nightmare of nature. It was very quiet, just the wind and maybe sometimes a sheep. It was difficult to decide if I should post it in b/w or color. Maybe I will post the colored one tomorrow. Do you like to see it? Yes we are still alive. I love the mystery this image portrays, espcailly the stark yet softened contrast between the the fog and the darkness of the pillars. Not only do I feel the cold moist wind lashing against my face, but the sounds of these suroundings I can hear. There is also wonderful detail in the dark areas of the moor. I do wonder a little about the one mammoth stone and its hallo and if it is natural or due to softening of the background. Still, this is a very srtong image.
