I'm a freelance writer, artist, and web designer in Greensboro, NC. I specialize in technical documentation and editing, although I prefer writing sci-fi/fantasy fiction and doing the artwork that goes along with it.
You can see more of my work, including tutorials and free OBJ files, at my website, www.rejectedreality.com .BIOI stumbled into CG artwork when Bryce was mentioned in "This Is True". Shortly after that I was working on a book for Chaosium called Cthulhu Invictus and needed artwork for it. I decided to see what I could come up with using Bryce, Poser, and Carrara. The book was a hit, and I got requests to do artwork for other Cthulhu books and articles.
More than that, though, I got bitten by the modeling bug. I first learned Amapi 7 Designer, and then its successor, Hexagon, creating models of everything from housekeys to metronomes. You can find many of my models available as free OBJ files on my website, www.rejectedreality.com .
I spend more of my time these days writing tutorials for graphics programs than creating images. You can find many of them at Rejected Reality, and I'll always be adding more.
Thanks to the photographer who did my engagement photo session, I recently learned about infrared photography and am having great fun experimenting with it. I'm also playing with depth of field and various postwork effects in digital photography and CG artwork.
If writing is daydreaming on paper, then digital artwork is daydreaming in pixels. And I'm definitely enjoying the daydream!

Hmmm. Striking effects here. Also very weird looking. Really fascinating expression there. I love the pan pipes. They would be great for a mythology series I am doing. Good work!

Stunning work here. The B&W makes it all the more dramatic and theatrical. The figure really stands out from the background. Excellent render, nice modeling too. Just one question: who is Tru'nembra?
cadmar
Very nicely done!

Tru'nembra, sounds Lovecraftian....hmmm, gotta dig out my Necronomicon, hmmm, page 876, paragraph four.... Very cool piece, great lighting and feel and the b/w works like an old film noir. Two Thumbs up. Minor critiques...faint hint of stubble on his face maybe and maybe a bit of chest hair? Not necessary and totally opinionated...great piece.

Great work, love this.. very effective in b/w works really well :)

Yogdog (hmmm, Yog-Sothoth reference, perhaps?) is correct -- Tru'nembra is Lovecraftian. Specifically, he's an Outer God that is living sound, and is worshipped by a few mad musicians. Yeah, I wouldn't pick up an instrument related to him and play it. :-)

I really like this. The black and white really brings it to life and you have done a wonderful job on those pan pipes. Terrific image.

If you can let us know when the book is out. Would love to read it. I also agree with at least adding a bit of stubble to the face. Of course I'm always for more chest hair! LOL. BW formats always add to the drama of a piece. All in all.... LOVE IT!!!!
