Description

Shortly after a spring shower I saw this beautiful flower in full bloom, I just love the colors this one gives to us to view. This is nature at its best. Beautiful flower shot, such neat symmetry in this bloom. Seems like the lights could be a tad brighter though, it looks a bit subdued on my monitor.

Dear Mark, Glad to know that I'm not the only "strange one" running around! I'm as likely to leave my camera out of purse as I am my cell phone. The advent of the small digital cameras has been a real godsend for me. And - it also allows me to get shot that I'd be "uncomfortable" with otherwise. In this post 9/11 world, you've got to be careful about cameras. A local photography club on a tour bus, started taking pictures of downtown Houston building and immediately had the local police and then minutes later the FBI all over them! And trying to do inside shots of businesses, etc. has become a very "covert" operation. Beautiful work on this - I love the rain drops! (I figure that at 6:30 pm it couldn't be dew - also the lighting looks like it was cloudy) Great macro work and the dark, out of the focal plane background provides a perfect setting for the beautiful colors and symmetry!! Very stunningly excellent!! Love, Meredith
