Description

This is a postcard that my father sent to my mother before they were married. The address is Miss Alta Kruse, care of Rosencrans sanitiam, Prairie du Chien Wis., (she was a nurse) I can not read this At 830, and I can't read the next sentence. I am sorry, this is handwritten not typed. It looks like population, something something, but they sure were all with us as we went along. The people came out into the street, and handed cigars to us by the boxes. Also cigarettes. We went into California city about 9 p.m. about five hours behind schedule, Alf PS One thing I noticed is the lack of affection on the card !!!!!!!!!!! different times I guess.

Sometimes I think Affection showing was frowned upon...a fine showing of Your Father thoughts.
