hey Ryan...I love your bold colors, Hon!! I would try some thin brushes in PS and draw some light and dark strands for highlights in varied purples...give it a shot..

I love the bold colors and I think you are off to a fantastic start with hair. I am not good at hair yet. Love her pose and the expression she has. Also her arms and hands, I like it a lot.

layers and hilites are penultimate when hand painting hair..this looks like it should be the underlying layer that you streak and paint..then more layers,different shades,dodge and burn,you're good to go...give it another shot!

I wish I could help, but I don't know if you made the hair in paint prog. or if this is a hair prop and made the textures. But I like the colors of this image very much. And the body suit is excellent.
