The prettiest girl I ever knew tosed "your car makes more racket than mine" as she walked in the dark across the parking lot. "You've got a Puerto Rican car!" she exclaimed several months later on a warm Saturday in spring as we entered her living room and she saw the baby blue 1971 Vega my father had given me to start a new job in 1978. Now that I see what she wanted to do with it I am shocked!!
