Description
I was concentrating more on the surfaces today, especially on the water. So please tell me if you like it ... and if not, tell me what you don't like, because your c&c are the best way how to improve :)
Thank you for your time.

The watersurface is great! Theres a bit to much black in the rocksurface, wich makes the contrast to the brighter colours to sharp

Imho you could try to lower roughness of water but not waves; about rock surfacing the clear part has a bumpiness and colour that looks and form like a kind of sandy surfaces. So it's reasonable to imagine that it is a surfacing diffuse only on horizontal surfaces and not on vertical parts, Nice lighting anyway!

The colors are perfect. I am terribly ignorant of terragen and other such apps,so I can only comment as a photographer and 2D artist. The water is a bit...pointillistic I think. It's only in the foreground that this occurs. Can it be smoothed out?I hope I didn't offend by saying so. You know I respect your work...

I love the pov, and the composition! I was going to say I didn't like the rock texture, but it occured to me, this isn't neccesarily Earth! So I think that texture is fine. The slight tilt to the camera gives the image soem nice tension. Overall reminds me of Planet of the Apes! ;) Great start!

Although I have the program Terragen, I still don't know anything about it, so my comments won't help you much..............but I like it!!!

POV is good. Regarding surfaces, it looks like you only used 3 or so layers on the cliffs. Try more and use lower fractal noise on layers to make a finer mix of colors. I use 30 or more layers and also a layer of strata underneath all to give a hint of stratification and some variation in the colors in the cliffs. Tough to do this kind of thing up close, too, try backing off a little for better realism... Cheers and keep up the good work.

Still trying to catch up!! I am so far behind on gallery visits that I can never realistic catch up on the backlog if I continue to write my typical comments. The rational thing to do would be to delete everything and start over thats what everyone has been telling me to do. Instead, Im going to spend my time looking and enjoying and just leave this calling card behind until I can get current. Once I catch up, I can get back to my typical fare. Love, Meredith PS - Absolutely amazing - terrific realism!!!
