Description
Today is the anniversary of my daughter's birth - and death, and I wanted to dedicate today's post to her.
So, this is For my daughter Catie (Catriona Jayde), who was born May 6, 2000 at 4:17 pm and left us a mere two minutes later.
I will never understand why she was taken, nor why the events that caused it ever happened, but for those two precious minutes, I was blessed with a beautiful 1 pound 2 oz little angel, perfect from the top of her head to the tips of her tiny toes.
5 years have passed, but it still seems like yesterday.
I can still feel her here, and at times i can still smell her.. that pefect baby smell that all mothers know.
Some things, not even time will ever heal.

I am so terribly sorry for the sadness of this day for you! I could not imagine how I would feel in your position, but my heart goes out to you! This is a beautiful tribute to your dear innocent angel! May God be with you in your saddest of times...

oh I too feel bad for your sadness I have three son's but lost my daughter and I was sad for so many years time does not nor never will heal bad things, its just gets easier to cope: Your baby and mine were special he neded them both as many go to him young: your art is lovely!

Oh goodness, I had no idea and my thoughts are with you this day. I have never married, nor had kids, but I have experienced great losses in the family and my personal life. I really have nothing verbal to share other than my support and my heart for you during this difficult time. I imagine that someday the pain will subside and you will realize in some strange way that God has a plan that no mortal could ever understand. I wish you the best and my sincere sympathies and hopes are with you during this time. You are so talented and a great part of the community, and every week I meet someone very special like you that makes me realize how important we all really are. Big Hugs V

I can not type...as I am truely in tears...tears flowing like rain for the loss of your Angel, as well as my own...and For the loss of my PaPa who passed late Tuesday night...Thank You for this incredible image, it is so beautiful and stirring...Thank you for letting me know I am not alone in my greif and that there is release and growth in art, in sharing our life, hope, healing, joy, sorrow, passions, thoughts, ideals... Your image stunning and the story behind it filled with such loss and sadness. But possibly in your image you captured your daughters destiny in the angel holding her. To hold and coddle arriving souls just as the angel you've depicted does. Perhaps her spirit was to precious to stay with us here and had a better ... more important calling. Yes, we never know.. or was this maybe a small vision.. an insight? Never know huh? I found this long after it was published but am so happy I did.
