Description
In case you didn't realize: this is not the leaning tower of Pisa in Italy. For some reason the tower on the picture always remembers me of the famous tower of Pisa. Not only because of it's architecture, which is defenitely not the same at all, but, well I don't know, just a thought. The fact that the tower on the image is leaning over of course reminds me of Pisa. What you see is the last remains of a church that has been swallowed by the sea in the Middle Ages. The dike on foot of the tower is clearly visible. In fact, not only a church disappeared, but also a whole village. The tower is the only building that still excists. There is a fairy tale going on about this tower.. It says that a curse of a mermaid caused all this trouble..
