Description


A young Herring Gull, I think. Circling the cliffs at St. Bees Head, with the sea as background. Shot into the early spring sun, so no catch-light in the eye unfortunately. Soulofharmony, I hope you like this; a little inspiration to pursue your goal of photographing birds in flight (probably more exciting ones than this!!) EOS 20D, 100-400L @400mm, F6.3, 1/1600s, ISO 400. Have a great weekend! ..Steve..

I wish I could take some captures at a cliff as you did here . But I live in forest, so no sea, no cliffs :-p I hate this on my pics , if eyes are not lit well (so important for animal photography) but I don't dislike it here. Great details on wings, very good capture Steve ! Could watch such scenes all day...
