The wind was a torrent of darkness upon the gusty trees,
The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas,
The road was a ribbon of moonlight looping the purple moor,

Great sense of movement and hauntingly beautiful! A friend of mine in college used to play and sing this as a song, many decades ago, and I still remember it well.
