Description

British Rail Electric Locomotive No. 81008 stands idle, pantograph down, reflecting the light from the nearby Lever Brothers Soap & Bleach Factory. The air is so full of sickly perfume from the soap factory you can almost chew it. The Railway Station is Warrington Bank Quay and on the West Coast Main Line. 81008 was a 25kv Electric Locomotive, built by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company and introduced October 1960, withdrawn March 1988 and cut up by Coopers of Sheffield in 1991. As far as I know the Soap Factory still operates. I got some serious comments yesterday, thank you so much

LMAO!!! You got some serious comments huh? What are they usually? LOL!!! Kinda ironic to me that what looks to be the "freshest" of these old slides is the one with the most noise. I like how that sky looks....troubling. Have yourself a dandy afternoon in jolly old England #:O)
