Description
Made revisions to tracks, added a few details.Tracks still look wrong, but of the 46,983 polygons that make up the model more than 28,000 are the tracks. The file is more than 2 Mb. Criticisms and comments are welcome and thanks for viewing.

I think that looks really good, but it's missing one thing... A white star on the side! And I'd be interesting in seeing what it would look like if it were a little greener, that is, a slightly darker shade of green. But other than that, flawless. Very nice job, keep it up!

Nice sherman. I know tanks are tiersome but they have such a draw for detail gets you to look closer.

This'll teach me, spend so much time modeling and never visit the modeling gallery. Sorry I've not dropped by before...this is great, I use Wings and can relate to your track issue.I made an LVT, 1mb model and 8mb of tracks....I took pretty much your approach after that. Now I stick to aircraft mainly, far less hassle :-) This is remarkable for Wings very nice detail, I don't think anyone would think twice about including this in a render.May I ask,"about how long did this take"? Well now I've found you, I'll be back, an excellent gallery throughout (just glad there weren't too many to back track through :-)

@neiwil: thanks for viewing and the comments. Since posting this I have looked at this model again in the cold light of morning and found it wanting on many levels. I lost track of how long it took, I started it almost two years before putting it in the gallery. Model building time takes second place to work. I'm working on an M5 Stewart which is larger in file size despite the fact the actual vehicle is far smaller. I must tell you I am a fan of your wonderful work. Thanks again for viewing.
