Description

As of now, all proceeds from sales at my online store, "The Penguin Bar", will be going to The Ali Forney Center (New York City), which helps homeless LGBT youth. This is one of several organizations which try to provide shelter and help to homeless gay children, most of whom were thrown out of their homes simply because they are gay. Homeless children are getting almost no attention at all, and various researches show that LGBT children make up a very significant proportion of homeless children, with estimates ranging between 20% and 40%! It is a huge tragedy that these kids are thrown out by their homophobic parents and have to live on the streets; many of these fall into prostitution simply to find a meal and a place to sleep at night. I attempted to contact people in national media, as well as some others, asking them to draw attention to the issue, but my requests were ignored. It seems to be preferable to pretend that the problem does not exist, rather than admit that our society today finds it acceptable to have minors wandering hungry on the streets. Please consider contributing to the Ali Forney Center, either direct via their website or by purchasing something from my store. Thank you! You are so right! It's horrendous that no one wants to admit these poor children need our help. your image is an exceptual portrayal of their pain and suffering

Very moving and dramatic image. Unfortunately this kind of drama is not fictional. This is an extremely important cause and you're a good man, Fab.

WOW....this is a work of art...perfect in your rendering...it catches the breath with it's symbolism and deep rooted meanings.A sad yet resigned image...I am in awe of it.
