Description

The indians who live in the area say when you see a sundog in the sky, there will be rain in 3-5 days. The larger the sundog the more rain you will receive from the gods. This sundog was seen on May 3 2005. Since then we have had numerous showers with well over an inch of rain. A lot for this desert environment. Several streams and rivers are at flood stage. I guess the old ways were pretty accurate! Note: This image was complied for 3 seperate images. My lens would not capture the whole thing in one shot. The green flare at 11 O'Clock is a lens flare and not part of the sundog.
